EXODUS AND EMBRACES - Promotion of the Piran Municipality as a Cultural Tourist Destination
The exhibition is an introduction to this year’s tourist season and encourages visitors to learn about our rich cultural heritage through it. Zec’s works are exhibited in as many as eight locations with great cultural, architectural and historical value. These are four churches, a baptistery, the Tartini House and the Tartini Theatre in Piran, as well as the former Monfort salt warehouse in Portorož, thus connecting both towns with the project.
The exhibition continues the centuries-old tradition of Piran as a town of art, hosting important names such as Jacopo Robusti Tintoretto, Vittore Carpaccio, Cesare dell’Acqua, Lojze Spacal and Janez Lenassi as well as important art events such as the International Sculpture Symposium Forma Viva and Ex-Tempore Piran.
